THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITON
JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This position exists to perform research tasks related to research projects and ensure smooth implementation of research studies under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in one of the sciences. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE: two (2) year relevant experience in biochemical, molecular and cell biology research, preferably with extensive use of laboratory mouse and rat models. OR Ph.D in related field will be accepted in lieu of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in one of the sciences four (4) years relevant experience in biochemical, molecular and cell biology research, preferably with extensive use of laboratory mouse and rat models
Must be able to work with small rodents/animals. (Work experience in biological/medical sciences preferred).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of current safety standards.
- Experience working with laboratory animals.
WORK SCHEDULE: This position may be required to occasionally work evenings and weekends.
