Research Technician – Serology

This post provides an opportunity for Laboratory Technicians with strong laboratory skills to join an established, dynamic, multi-disciplinary team as part of the COVID-19 Serology Antibody Detection platform. Maintaining accurate records and efficient procedures will be crucial to the success of the project. You will be meticulous, highly organised and a productive member of a nationally important surveillance team, maintaining strict procedural protocols and working closely as part of the wider team. You will report day-to-day to the Laboratory Manager and work on a rota shift pattern in conjunction with an additional team working the alternate pattern.

To be considered for this position you should have experience of working in a laboratory environment and experience working with hazardous chemicals. You should be educated to A Level or equivalent in a science related subject. You should have strong attention to detail, with the ability to organise samples and record results in a clear and organised fashion.

You will be based in the John Radcliffe Hospital or the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics, Oxford as your normal place of work.

The post is full time and fixed-term for up to 31/03/2022 with the possibility of extension. Applications for this vacancy are to be made online. You will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application.
