Position Overview
The Hefty Lab (http://www.hefty.ku.edu ) is recruiting a research technician for full time employment. Our research team is focused on understanding aspects of the basic biology and pathogenesis for Chlamydia trachomatis. This position will support laboratory research activities and includes, 1) performing experiments as directed and 2) general laboratory support and maintenance of associated resources. Associated research activities are diverse and will include cell culture, molecular biology techniques, fluorescent microscopy, and mouse model of infection. While candidates may have experience in some of these areas, it is expected that much of this experience and training will be acquired from our laboratory.
The start date is flexible, but January 2023 is preferred. The successful candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S. before employment begins.
