The Shushruth Lab, at the Dept. of Neuroscience, University of Pittsburgh, is seeking a full-time employee to assist with the lab set up and day-to-day research activities. The focus of the lab is the development of animal models of human cognitive deficits. The lab will deploy a broad array of techniques including animal behavioral training, electrophysiology, molecular biology, and computational modeling towards this goal. The employee will work under close supervision of the PI and job specific hands-on training will be provided as needed. Candidates with an academic background in neuroscience and/or experience working with large animals in research or veterinary settings are particularly encouraged to apply. Proficiency in Matlab/Python desirable.
