You will supervise a post-doctoral scientist, data IT manager and research assistant as well as jointly supervise DPhil graduate and undergraduate students.

The successful candidate should hold a PhD/DPhil/doctoral training programme in data science, informatics, machine learning, statistical genomics or a related subject. You will have strong computational data science and genomic informatics skills, with a substantial postdoctoral experience in areas relevant to the field of precision oncology. You should have a good understanding of the principles of molecular and cell biology related to cancer. You should possess excellent organisational and time management skills and being able to work independently using your own initiative, and also as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact equally effectively with senior academic staff, researchers and support staff are essential.

This full-time post is available until June 2026.  If you are interested in extending your experience in the interface between clinical based informatics and mechanistic precision medicine (oncology), and have the skills and experience we are looking for, please apply online.
