THE ROLE
The Research Reporting Officer coordinates and provides research reporting and systems support to individuals, units and organisations.
Reporting to the Research Reporting Manager, key accountabilities of this role include:

Audit publication and verification documentation related to annual Higher Education Research Data Collection (HERDC), and arrange storage of verification documentation.

Respond to queries from academic staff and faculty administrative staff relating to the HERDC guidelines in relation to research outputs categorisation

Liaise with the Library in relation to the collection of HERDC publications data

Assist in the collection and checking of data related to the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) data collection

Assist in testing of systems and configurations related to research outputs data collection and reporting
-
Lead the University’s biannual ABS Higher Educations Research and Development survey response
-
Data entry of and modifications to publication records in PURE management system
-
Liaise with key clients and stakeholders to understand reporting needs (in relation to research outputs data), develop reports and provide to stakeholders as required

Assist in Engagement and Impact (EI) data submission and outcomes analysis

Organise yearly review of processes related to research data collection
-
Maintain webpages and guides associated with HEREDC data collection

Degree qualification and equivalent experience in database management, data analysis or document management or a related field.

Knowledge of the Australian Higher Education environment
-
Understanding of the use of information technology in a research management context.

Knowledge of reporting techniques and practises including the ability to create meaningful and well-presented reports and research documentation.

Knowledge of relational databases in the context of sourcing and extracting data, information and developing complex research report.
-
Experience in data analysis and data/research benchmarking.
