Summary of Job Duties:

The Research Project Analyst reports to the Director with the program project specialist serving as timekeeper. The Research Project Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of fiscal and administrative related tasks that are standard or regular support duties. The Research Project Analyst prepares requisitions, travel, and analyzes data; reviews files for accuracy and corrects information as needed; and maintains manual and computerized files alphabetically, numerically, or by other prescribed methods within designated timeframes; serves as office receptionist and prepares forms, correspondence, reports and other documents utilizing appropriate software; ensures that requisitions are processed timely and accurately.
Under the direction of the Center Director, the Research Project Analyst receives, reviews, and audits documents to ensure completion; verifies codes, calculations, authorizations and additional required information; performs data entry of various information, including invoices and payments after reviewing the documents for accuracy; may communicate with vendors and other customers to provide information regarding the status of accounts or other related transactions, and performs other duties as assigned.
Other duties are as following:
1. Provides training for faculty in the use of online instructional technology
2. Provides technical assistance for faculty and staff
3. Provides assistance to students with web-based class related concerns and problems
4. Attends professional development conferences
5. In collaboration with director, updates and distributes information and maintains center resources
6. Assists director in supervision of daily work activities of the office
7. Performs related responsibilities as needed.
This position is funded in part by a grant from the U. S. Department of Education, Office of Post-Secondary Education, Institutional Services Program (Title III, Part B, Historically Black Colleges and Universities Program).

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher education in marketing, finance, business, education or related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience in using computer-based tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Excellent Oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required.

Excellent problem-solving and team-working skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty and administrators.

Requires knowledge of distance learning systems(Black Board).

Experience troubleshooting Blackboard course management system (including contents, tools, assessments, and grade center).

Ability to quickly learn new software and technology, while consistently producing high-quality work and meeting tight deadlines.

Demonstrated experience using and supporting learning technology tools such as Respondus, , Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.
