Research Program Coordinator

Interested in community-based research to serve as a Study Coordinator?  Play a vital role in a project funded by United Heathcare to implement and evaluate the efficacy of mental health screening, brief trauma-informed psychotherapy, and triage clinic in a public housing tower in Omaha.  

As a Project Coordinator for the Omaha Housing Authority Study, you play an important role helping to study PTSD, Suicide, and Traumatic Stress in Children.  The study focus is for Culturally Relevant Interventions, Prevention, and Training (https://postscriptresearch.com/ ). 

This is a full-time, one year commitment, and fully grant funded position.  We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct semi-structured interviews for outcome evaluation
  • Assist with partnership development and maintenance at OHA
  • Assist with coordinating schedules of psychiatry residents and the PI
  • Maintaining project tracking documents and confidential materials consistent with HIPAA and IRB requirements.
  • Manage measurement tools in Qualtrics.
  • Manage data
  • Participate in regular supervision meetings and team meetings
  • Conduct literature and data searches/reviews, when appropriate
  • Assist with data analysis and manuscript preparation
  • Assist with grant applications

 We are looking for an individual who is excited about supporting a collaborative, dynamic team of professionals, including the PIs working to improve outcomes for youth by preventing homelessness and addressing mental health access inequities. Individuals seeking research experience prior to applying to graduate school in clinical psychology or a related field are strongly encouraged to apply.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, public health, or a related discipline by the position start date
  • Excellent English fluency skills (oral and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills allowing for effective interactions with coworkers, OHA personnel, and research participants
  • Must be organized, efficient, adaptive, and receptive to feedback in order to effectively work in a collaborative environment.
  • Have strong project coordination skills

Preferred Skills

  • A career interest in mental health or related services
  • Prior research experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with visual communication and social media platforms
  • Experience with statistical analysis using SPSS or AMOS
  • Experience using online database systems and/or survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics, REDCap)
  • Experience and comfort with Zoom or another video conferencing platform
