A Brief Overview
A postdoctoral position is available, supported by a grant from the National Institutes of Health, in the laboratory of Dr. Robert Levy. The program offers training in cardiovascular research with a special emphasis on heart valve disease, and serotonin receptor mechanisms together with platelet interactions. PhD; MD; MD-PhD candidates with both an interest and experience in basic cardiovascular research should apply. Applicants with specific expertise in such fields as cell and molecular biology, biomaterials, bioengineering, immunology, pharmaceutics, and pharmacology are strongly encouraged to apply. Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct independent scholarly research and develop new methods and protocols

2. Participate in project planning, recording and evaluation of data

3. Acquire technical, lab management and grant writing skills

4. Participate in seminars, lectures, poster sessions and presentation at national meetings

5. Supervise junior lab members 6. Collaborate with other research projects

What you will do
