The Opportunity 

The Research Officer will provide a variety of professional and technical services to researchers and staff in the Karunakaran Laboratory, Department of Physiology. The Research Officer will perform a range of tasks related to primary cell culture, molecular biology and cardiometabolic mouse models.

Additionally, you will be responsible for the welfare of laboratory animals, storing and maintaining specimens, samples, chemicals and other materials.

As the successful candidate, you will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field or substantial relevant skills and work experience. Sound analytical, technical and data analysis skills and a demonstrated capacity to apply effective technical methods, processes and systems is also required for success in this role.
