Reporting to the Professor in the department of Horticulture & Crop Sciences, the Research Assistant 11 B/H provides support for the soybean breeding and genetics; conducts laboratory, greenhouse, and field studies; collects phenotypic and genetic (molecular marker) data; maintains databases; summarizes, databases, analyzes data, and writes R scripts and modules to automate data handling and analyses; assists with preparation of manuscripts and publications; provides mentoring and training to undergraduate student employees and other laboratory personnel as needed.
