This is a full time, fixed term (12 months), grant-funded position.
Center for Craniofacial Molecular Biology (CCMB) is a research laboratory located on the Health Sciences Campus of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. CCMB is a part of the Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC.
Working together, we are advancing oral, dental, and craniofacial research toward solving problems in health and promoting the well-being of society.
CCMB is looking for a talented Research Lab Technician II to join its team! Position funded by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research is available at the Center for Craniofacial Molecular Biology, Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California to explore the structure and function of the extracellular matrix proteins in tooth biomineralization. Research activities will involve, but not limited to, application of molecular biology and biochemical techniques for protein expression and purification, utilization of cell culture and mutant mice models for the study of enamel formation. Experienced candidates working with animal models and dental tissues will be preferable.
Job Accountabilities:
The candidate should have a strong oral communication skills and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with an interdisciplinary research team. Responsibility will also include presenting findings at scientific meetings, writing manuscripts, and contributing to research grant applications.

Minimum Education: Associate’s degree, Specialized/technical training, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 2 years
Minimum Field of Expertise: Working knowledge of laboratory equipment and research protocols. Knowledge of computer analysis techniques and ability to provide routine analysis and interpretation of research data.
