The lab tech will assist in the processing of collected simulation performance data (raw kinematic and video recording). As data from each simulation session is collected, she/he will process kinematic and video recordings by annotating and time-stamping suturing sub-steps and sub-stitch maneuvers as mapped in Aim 1a. Further, to support the predictive models, she will assign skills assessment labels and adverse events to all incoming video recordings from VR simulator sessions and live surgeries; annotations/labeling of incoming simulation and live video.

Minimum Education: Associate’s degree, Specialized/technical training, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 2 years
Minimum Field of Expertise: Working knowledge of laboratory equipment and research protocols. Knowledge of computer analysis techniques and ability to provide routine analysis and interpretation of research data.
