Research Fellow (maternity cover)

The School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences (MDBS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Research Fellow.

The post-holder will be part of the Epidemiology research group within the Centre for Public Health assisting in the development of research proposals and the planning and delivery of research activity within a specified area so that the overall research objectives of the project/school are met.

 
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate you have:

• Have or be about to obtain a PhD in Genetics/Genomics or a closely related discipline;
• At least three years recent relevant research experience;
• Experience of management and co-ordination of human intervention studies;
• Publication track record commensurate with experience; and
• Experience of management of databases and statistical packages e.g. Stata, SPSS.

This post is fixed term for up to 4 months. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
