Research Fellow [LKCMedicine]

Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine invites applications for:

Research Fellow in the laboratory of Professor Joseph Sung

The position is required to conduct research and development work related to trust in precision medicine and will take charge of theoretical development, study design, preparing for the reports, slides, posters, conference and journal papers for the projects on trust using AI in medicine. Specifically, the research fellow will be employed to design study for interviews, focus group discussions and surveys on people’s trust in AI medicine. The research fellow shall take charge of the design of study, testing and evaluation of the models, keeping up with the research progress and output, and communicating with the research team and collaborators.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop the theories in trust in AI medicine

• Test the above theories with research hypotheses

• Design the study for interview, focus group discussions and surveys to test the above hypotheses

• Summarize the main findings from the experiments/focus group discussions/surveys, models and hypothesis testing

• Prepare for the reports and slides/posters for demonstrations

• Prepare for conference papers and manuscripts for journal submissions

• Communicate with the research team and collaborators of the project

• Take charge of research & developments on projects in AI medicine

Skills and qualifications:

• PhD degree in Sociology, Psychology, Communications, Medical Technology, Biology or equivalent fields

• Knowledge of AI medicine

• Prior research experience in healthcare

• Good writing and communication skills

• Independent and team player

• Good publication records
