Research Fellow in Robotics and Autonomous Systems
University of Salford
Join us, in the North of England Robotics Innovation Centre Team at the University of Salford!
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to join North of England Robotics Innovation Centre (NERIC) Team, developing robotic and automated solutions.
As part of NERIC’s work, we are a key partner within the Advanced Machinery & Productivity Initiative (AMPI) project.
AMPI aims to foster innovation, facilitate the adoption of new machinery and robotics, and drive economic prosperity for UK equipment manufacturers.
The existing modular robots currently on the market have limited potential for customisation and are available as preassembled systems that are difficult to modify on-site to meet specific industry requirements.
This project aims to overcome these limitations by introducing an innovative and sturdy control system alongside a fresh modular hardware design.
We are seeking a Research Fellow to work in response to the demands of the advanced machinery and manufacturing industry, this role aims to support research projects by conducting research, analysing results, and generating original ideas. This role holds the responsibility of contributing to project delivery and offering technical, analytical, and research assistance to the project team and other academic and industrial partners involved in this project.
Take a look for yourself at NERIC and see what amazing things you could be part of here.
For an informal discussion about this post, please Dr Saber Mahboubi ([email protected] ).
This is a fixed term role ending 31/08/2025. Interviews will take place on 6th November 2023.
