Do you have a background in global or international education? Would you like to contribute to enhancing the pedagogical foundation of the University’s growing global education partnerships and networks? Do you have qualitative research skills, including interviewing and workshop facilitation?
We’re looking for a Research Fellow to work with Professor Anne Tallontire (Principal Investigator) and Dr Madeleine Le Bourdon (Co-Investigator) in a project supported by the International Strategy Fund to examine existing University practice in global higher education collaborations. The project will review the conceptual and pedagogical underpinnings of existing and emerging collaborations, how they are delivering reciprocal impact for participants including students, partners and the University itself, and how this might be sustained. It will explore findings with key stakeholders and external experts with a view to developing a theory of change to inform strategy the University’s global education partnerships.
The project anticipated outcomes are threefold: 1) build on innovative pedagogical potential that further teaching and learning; 2) strengthen and further authentically equitable and reciprocal global educational partnerships; 3) establish Leeds as a leading institution for ethical and transformative global education partnerships.
You will be based in the Sustainability Research Institute, School of Earth and Environment, but will work with staff across the University across a variety of disciplines and roles and liaising with contacts in international partner institutions.
