Remuneration: $104,185 – $123,720 pa Level B (plus 17% employer superannuation)

The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated researcher to undertake economic analyses related to the economics of addiction and substance misuse as well as economic evaluation methods and analyses more generally. This fellowship is a joint venture between the Monash University Health Economics Group within the SPHPM and Turning Point, Australia’s leading national addiction treatment, training and research centre, and part of Eastern Health Clinical School.

The Research Fellow will lead and contribute to original research around economics, economic evaluation and priority setting. Including analyses related to service use and costs, trial based economic evaluation, modelled economic evaluations and burden of disease (cost of illness) research, with the potential to develop and advance the methods used in economic evaluations. 

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline (i.e., health economics or equivalent qualifications in health services research or epidemiology) or a closely related field
  • A track record of refereed research publications, using advanced statistical analysis (including biostatistical techniques)
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to supervise, mentor and support the development of research staff and postgraduate students

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
