Research Fellow (Flat Optics)

Job Description:

The Research Fellow will work on a project to conduct the research on development of nanophotonic structures for optical computations. The roles of this position include:

• Conduct research and develop theoretical models for nanophotonics interacting with structured materials

• Apply numerical models to analyze various metamaterials, providing valuable information for simulating real materials exactly (to numerical precision)

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to joint research projects

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field with focus on Many-body physics. The excellent publication records will be preferred

• Experience in matlab, MEEP, RCWA and other softwares and algorithms

• Good understanding of metamaterials, metasurfaces and optical beam steering

• Strong knowledge of optical physics, while experimental experience would be preferred

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently, manage projects, and meet deadlines

• Effective communication and presentation skills

• Attention to detail and commitment to scientific rigor
