Research Fellow (Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Control Science and Automation)

The Cyber Security Research Centre @ NTU (CYSREN) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow. The appointment is normally for a period of one year with a provision for further extensions subject to good performance.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Developing a lightweight visual deep learning system for estimating road user intention.

• Undertake original research and has opportunities to collaborate with industry and top researchers around the world.

• Evaluate state-of-the-art algorithms in estimating road user intention.

• Develop visual based methods for robust road user intention.

• Develop strategies to accelerate deep learning models.

• Validate proposed strategies on embedded platform using real-world data.

• Publish in top journals and conference venues.

Job Requirements: 

• Possess a PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Control Science and Automation, or related disciplines

• Solid background in computer vision especially related to deep learning methods for human action recognition

• Good publication record in top journals/conferences in the related area

• Good interpersonal skills

• Excellent teamwork awareness

• Good communication and writing in English

• Strong responsibility for research / work

• At least 3 years of experience in the relevant field
