A Research Fellow position is currently available in the Bio-Data Science and Education Laboratory, School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Job Description:

You will join a highly inter-disciplinary team comprising other computer and data scientists, computational biologists, educationists and technologists. There are ample opportunities for various cross-domain ventures.

You will work on an mental health technology project where you will explore how data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning, may be deployed towards investigating the molecular basis of human behavior as well as developing AIs for mental health status prediction.

The project is concerned with developing predictive models for early detection of mental illness in youth cohorts in Singapore and New Zealand using a combination of extrinsic (behavioural) and intrinsic (biomolecular) data.

Job Requirements:

Ideally, you should have a PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Science. Other relevant degrees may also be considered. We are looking for indicators of high productivity and motivation, even if you have no direct experience.

You should have experience and/or be comfortable in dealing with the at least one of the following high-dimensional data-types: GWAS, RNA-sequencing, proteomic profiling, behavioural, etc. Demonstrable expertise in integrative multi-omics and/or domain knowledge in psychiatry or neurobiology is especially favoured.
