Research Fellow (Aerospace Engineering/Operation Research/Computer Sciences)

The Air Traffic Management Research Institute (ATMRI) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Under the Air Traffic Management Research Institute (ATMRI) (http://atmri.ntu.edu.sg/), Nanyang Technological University, you will be part of a research team to do research on Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics with applications to Air Traffic Management Systems and Airspace Management. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Conduct and support research and development related to Agent-based, Optimization, Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics applied to air traffic safety assessment and airspace/flow management in a mixed airspace operations.
• Develop algorithms and computational models (Deep learning, Neural Netrworks, evolutionary computation, multi-agent, etc), perform data mining, doing analytics for dynamic airspace planning, flight trajectory prediction, traffic flow management, etc.
• Assist the PI and work closely with the team regarding project management.

Job Requirements:

• PhD Degree in Aerospace Engineering/Operation Research/Computer Sciences, or related disciplines.
• Programming Experience: Proficient knowledge of Python, Java, Matlab (at least one).
• Demonstrated research experience related to applied Machine Learning, computational modelling, or Air Traffic Management through research publications in prestigious Journals.
• Extensive experience with big data analytics.
• Experience in mixed airspace operations such as UTM/ATM operations.
• Good English writing and communication skills.
