We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow who will work in the laboratory of Professor Serge Mostowy on cutting edge research into novel roles for the cytoskeleton in innate immunity. 

The successful applicant will have a postgraduate degree (ideally a doctoral degree) in a relevant field of microbiology or cell biology, practical experience in a broad range of techniques that apply to the cell biology of infection including bacterial genetics, single cell analysis and high-resolution microscopy. Ideally, they will also have proven experience in working with zebrafish models. Further particulars are included in the job description.

The post is funded by the ERC until 31 March 2024. Salary is on the Academic Pathway Grade 6 scale in the range £41,829 – £47,503 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
