Research Fellow

The Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) in EEECS at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a Research Fellow to conduct research into the design and implementation of practical, robust and physically secure post-quantum cryptographic architectures.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to conduct research as part of the INNOVATE-funded project called SCHEME (Safety Critical Harsh Environment Micro-processing Evolution), led by Rolls Royce.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • 2:1 Honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics (or related discipline).
  • Have, or be about to obtain, a PhD in a relevant subject.
  • Relevant research experience in one or more of the following:
          – Embedded systems design
          – FPGA or ASIC hardware design.
  • Expertise in post-quantum cryptography.
  • Evidence of a good publication record commensurate with career stage and experience.

This post is available on a fixed term contract for 18 months. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
