Research Engineer (Analog Signal Processing Engineer)

National University of Singapore

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Analog Signal Processing Engineer to join our team. As an Analog Signal Processing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing analog signal processing systems, including those for acoustic signals such as heart and lung sounds. Your expertise in signal conditioning and processing, noise analysis and reduction, microphone electronics, low signal amplifiers, and acoustic signal processing will be crucial in developing high-performance analog circuits and systems.

• Designing and implementing analog signal processing circuits and systems for signal conditioning, noise reduction, low signal amplification, and acoustic signal processing, including heart and lung sounds.
• Conducting noise analysis to identify and mitigate noise sources in analog systems, specifically related to acoustic signals.
• Optimizing the performance of microphone electronics for enhanced acoustic signal quality, including heart and lung sounds.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate analog signal processing systems into flexible electronic systems, with a focus on acoustic applications such as heart and lung sound analysis.
• Testing and validating analog signal processing systems to ensure they meet the required specifications and performance criteria for both general and acoustic signals, including heart and lung sounds.

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in analog signal processing, signal conditioning, noise analysis, low signal amplifiers, and acoustic signal processing.
• Strong knowledge of analog circuit design principles and techniques.
• Familiarity with microphone electronics and their specifications, particularly in the context of acoustic applications such as heart and lung sound analysis.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
