The Opportunity
The Research Development and Partnerships Manager is an exciting new role within Monash Business School focused on research user engagement and relationship management to enable our ambitious research engagement agenda. The role will explore, cultivate and secure opportunities for external partnerships and collaboration across a range of research activities.
With a focus on priority sectors aligned with the global challenges of Monash University’s strategic plan Impact 2030 (climate change, geopolitical security and thriving communities), the Research Development and Partnerships Manager will work closely with academics and the research leadership team in the Business School to develop targeted industry engagement plans and connect external organisations with Monash Business School’s world class researchers. The role will act as a liaison point between academics and prospective partners to assist in developing impact-focused research opportunities.
As a key engagement champion for Monash Business School, the Research Development and Partnerships Manager will engage with portfolios across Monash University’s research and enterprise ecosystem to identify and plan for business and economics research opportunities that arise from major University initiatives.
The ideal candidate for the role will have a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline as well as business development, client liaison and contract negotiation experience in a commercially oriented business and/or research context. Previous experience and industry links in the energy sector, particularly in relation to the transition to renewables, would be highly desirable, aligned with our strategic focus on Impact 2030’s climate change grand challenge.
