These positions serve as Research Coordinator I for the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology in the Woods Neuromodulation Lab (https://woodslab.phhp.ufl.edu/) in the Center for Cognitive Aging and Memory (CAM). The incumbents are expected to coordinate with Department faculty and staff in all aspects of assigned research studies, under the supervision of Dr. Stacey Alvarez-Alvarado. These positions are located in Jacksonville, FL. Responsibilities for the positions include: Conduct study visits following research related protocols, ensuring research and laboratory safety measures are met. Collect participant forms and documents such as consent forms, medical history, and medication inventory. Administer psychological questionnaires. Perform research procedures and tests such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), cognitive testing, physical performance testing. Coordinate the daily activities of research studies. This includes scheduling research participants while observing study-imposed time windows. Tracking study activities and deviations. Working closely with Principal Investigators (PI) to identify, recruit and enroll potential study participants, which may include developing recruitment materials. Communicate with study Medical Director on participant adverse events (AEs) and serious adverse events (SAEs). Issue study documents, create and maintain source documents. Ensure that study documents are properly organized and preserved in the REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) system. As needed, assist with research billing documents, and assist with IRB reviews and other research related compliance reports and tasks. Assist with communications to research participants, PI’s, and team members. Receive study participants and aide during the check-in & out process. Update participant tracking logs as needed. Maintain communication via phone and letters to study participants. Obtain quotes for lab equipment and coordinate purchase orders. Monitor lab supplies and notify appropriate personnel for replacements. As needed, perform phone screens, data entry, and IRB related clerical duties. Oversee the research activities of OPS, Graduate Assistants, and volunteers. Assist with training new employees in research-related activities. Perform other duties as assigned. |
| Expected Salary: |
$40,000 – $50,000 annually, based on education, skills and experience |
| Minimum Requirements: |
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
