Research Coordinator

Position Summary
The Research Coordinator at the School of Nursing will work closely with Dr. Caceres on several research projects focused on examining social and structural determinants of cardiovascular health among marginalized populations, such as racial, ethnic, sexual, and gender minority individuals. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Research Coordinator will be primarily responsible for providing support for research projects related to health equity and/or cardiovascular health.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience conducting health equity research and working in a team-oriented environment with frequent interaction with research participants, graduate students, and research staff.
Responsibilities
- Developing strategies to recruit study subjects for participation in activities and data collection;
- Coordinating study team projects (e.g., study procedures, recruitment, REDCap/Qualtrics surveys), convening research team meetings, and assisting with day-to-day research activities;
- Administering study questionnaires using electronic data capture systems;
- Assisting with the collection of physiological measures (including blood and saliva samples);
- Participating, with minimal supervision, in progress reports, data entry, and IRB protocol modifications/submissions;
- Conducting and writing literature reviews to support grant applications and manuscripts; and
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus two years of related experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with electronic data capture systems
- Organized and able to multitask in a diverse research environment
- Flexibility in workload and work hours to meet deadlines and recruitment goals
- Capable of working effectively in research groups
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in public health, psychology, nursing or related field
- Experience in research or healthcare
- Experience conducting research with marginalized populations
