We are seeking a Centre Manager who is innovative and experienced in providing high-level financial, administrative and strategic support to enable delivery of the Centre’s goals.

Salary Package: From $109,552 to $121,900 (HEW 8), plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading

The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with the Founding Director of the Australian Institute of Health Innovation Institute (AIHI) and the Centre for Healthcare Resilience and Implementation Science (CHRIS) to realise the organisation’s strategic goals. The successful applicant will be responsible for the effective management of the Centre, encompassing research administration, resource planning and management and the financial operations of the Centre.
About You
You will have extensive knowledge of research administration and financial management, preferably within a Higher Education setting. You will have previous experience in managing a large centre or department and delivering high-level support to executive management. You will have excellent time-management skills, being able to meet tight and conflicting deadlines, prioritising work accordingly and adapting workloads as necessary.

The Centre for Healthcare Resilience and Implementation Science (CHRIS) is part of the Australian Institute of Health Innovation within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Science and has a successful track record of undertaking research and evaluation projects on health sector issues since 1991. Its core interest is to investigate issues of policy, governance and leadership in the health sector. It is involved in conducting original research into health systems issues, providing a scholarly capability by which to evaluate health sector policies, programs and projects, and contributing to undergraduate medical and postgraduate teaching, and public health and doctoral education.

Selection criteria:

Relevant tertiary qualification/s and or equivalent extensive experience
-
Demonstrated experience in financial management including budget forecasting, preparation, and analysis of data.

Proven ability to provide leadership and encourage a collaborative, cooperative and service-oriented work environment including the capacity to embrace and foster change.

Well-developed computer skills in data base management, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web-based research, and social media platforms.

Highly developed conceptual, analytical, problem-solving and research skills and ability to develop innovative solutions.
Desirable criteria:
-
Demonstrated experience in grant submissions (including budget development) and post-award management.

Managing projects and operational plans with key stakeholders.
