Research Associate (Structural Dynamics / Structural Engineering)

The Protective Technology Research Centre (PTRC), School of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore is recruiting one Research Associate for the project on blast resistance of precast structures.

Job Description:

• Literature reviews and specimen preparation

• Prepare test setup and conduct tests

• Conduct post-test analysis and simulations

• Daft test analysis and simulation reports

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree and good grades in master’s courses such as structural dynamics and structural engineering

• Familiar with blast simulation and relevant software such as AutoDyna and Ls-Dyna

• Good knowledge of blast simulations of walls

• Experience in experimental work (for model validation)

• Good knowledge of data statistics (curve fitting and formula derivation)

• Good knowledge of structural dynamics and blast analysis of structure
