We are seeking a motivated interdisciplinary researcher to join the University of Bristol, as part of the Aerospace Technology Institute / IUK funded DAWS2 project.
The work involves the development of robust and reliable design approaches to incorporate the aerodynamic and structural nonlinearities inherent in high aspect ratio wing optimisation, assessment of the effect of uncertainties on in-service structural health monitoring, and application of uncertainty prediction methodologies for the design of wind tunnel tests.
As part of the role it would be expected that the candidate works closely with the main industrial partner and partners from other Universities in the DAWS2 project, making regular presentations, writing progress reports and completing project deliverables. The successful candidate will be part of a team of researchers working on different aspects of the DAWS2 project.
