Cornell University’s College of Engineering, the preeminent Cornell’s Robert Frederick Smith School of Chemical and The Lab Manager will support instructional activities and Major responsibilities of this position include: Laboratory Management and Maintenance • Manage CBE shared laboratories and equipment • Provide support and oversight of setup, testing, • Maintain, repair, and modify laboratory • Consult with faculty, and assist as appropriate, • Troubleshoot problems with equipment operation, • • • • • • Safety Management • Principal liaison with Cornell EH&S, Cornell • Principal staff member for CBE safety committee • Ensure all students are cleared for experimental • Ensure all equipment is ready to be safely used Student Support and Teaching • Support all laboratories in curriculum and • Collaborate with faculty on pedagogical aspects • Reinforce safety culture, training, and best • Aid in the logistics of faculty collaborative • Support student project teams and undergraduate • Train students at all levels in equipment standard A Ph.D. degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience or Salary Range: $75k – $85k Interested applicants should apply at https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/23485 .
