Department of Atmospheric & Oceanic Science (Professor Carolina Dufour)

Position Summary:

  • Conducting numerical modelling research on the evolution of kinetic energy in the changing Arctic Ocean.
  • Analyzing output of numerical model simulations
  • Performing literature search and making recommendations

Qualifications:

  • Solid experience in the analysis of output of ocean-sea ice numerical models (preferably from the NEMO model).
  • Experience with calculation on High Performance Computing platforms
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English

Experience and education:

  • PhD degree in physical oceanography or related fields
  • At least 2 years of postdoctoral research experience on polar oceanography
