Job Description:

The Woods Neuromodulation Lab in the Center for Cognitive Aging and Memory seeks to recruit an Research Assistant Scientist for clinical trials management in lab of Dr. Adam Woods in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology.  Dr. Woods’ lab maintains 5 actively funded R01s, four of which are clinical trials. The Woods Neuromodulation lab investigates novel non-invasive neuromodulation methods (non-invasive brain stimulation, cognitive training, etc.) to remediate cognitive aging and alter the trajectory of decline towards dementia. Dr. Woods seeks to hire a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD Assistant Scientist with expertise and prior experience in clinical trial management. The Research Assistant Scientist will work directly with Dr. Woods and his large team to manage day to day operations on Dr. Woods’ ongoing clinical trials. This will include overseeing study staff and graduate students working on our clinical trials. It will also include managing trial regulatory paperwork, assisting with regular and annual reporting requirements on trials, maintenance of IRB and Western IRB processes and other related activities. The Woods Lab currently contains 12+ full time research staff on the University of Florida Gainesville and Jacksonville campuses, eight PhD graduate students, several post-doctoral fellows, and multiple early career faculty.

Expected Salary:

 The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a full benefits package.

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D., MD, or MD/PhD in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in clinical trial management essential.

Two years’ experience in clinical trial management.
Experience managing study/trial teams.
Attention to detail, particularly with regard to implementing project protocols and in terms of collecting data to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Good computer skills.
Ability to work independently and to collaborate with a variety of team members across trial sites.
