Research Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at the University of Virginia invites applications for a full-time Research Assistant Professor (tenure ineligible). This position primarily supports the Stukenberg Lab, but is part of a larger collaborative project with the labs of Kevin James and Hui Zong to apply system cancer biology approaches to study the roles of Aneuploidy in breast cancer progression. The Stukenberg lab is looking for a Research Assistant Professor that has computer science and/or bioinformatics experience. Strong candidates will be proficient at addressing complex problems and large datasets using current computer approaches, especially those based on Bayesian techniques.

Qualifications:
- PhD in Biochemistry, molecular genetics, or a related field is required by the start date of the appointment. ABD may be accepted.
- Computer experience is required.
