Based at: Cranfield Campus, Cranfield, Bedfordshire
Hours of work: 37 hours per week, normally worked Monday to Friday. Flexible working will be considered.
Contract type: Fixed term contract
Fixed Term Period: 30 Months
Salary: Full time starting salary in the range of £35,559 – £39,434 per annum as Research Fellow or £26,860 – £30,513 per annum as Research Assistant

Role Description

Research Assistant (RA) or Research Fellow (RF) in Aircraft Systems

We welcome applications for this exciting new Research Fellow post from passionate, prospective candidates to join our team to contribute to projects in the areas of aircraft cabin systems, including cabin air quality.  

About the Role

The purpose of this post is to support and deliver to an industry funded and led project related to landing gear systems and other airframe system. You will be responsible for undertaking high quality research associated with the Cranfield University project work package in systems synergies and aircraft level analysis. You will be responsible for managing the research tasks, organising project meetings, writing project deliverables and coordinating research activities and will need excellent interpersonal skills.

About You

You will be educated to masters level (RA) or doctoral level (RF) in an aerospace / relevant subject and have experience of aircraft systems research including in analytical methods. With excellent communication skills, you will have significant knowledge in computational systems modelling. You will be confident in communicating with external partners professionally and skilled in project management and report writing.
