Project Title:
PROSPER: Promoting Neuroprotective Out-of-classroom Playful Learning Interventions for Cognitive and Socio-Emotional Mathematical Competence of Pre-schoolers
Project Introduction:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant to join our interdisciplinary team working on a cutting-edge research project titled ” PROSPER: Promoting Neuroprotective Out-of-classroom Playful Learning Interventions for Cognitive and Socio-Emotional Mathematical Competence of Pre-schoolers.” This project aims to design and implement neuroprotective playful learning interventions for cognitive and socioemotional mathematical competency development. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and evaluating these interventions to advance our understanding of how playful learning interventions can support mathematics learning and well-being.
Requirements:
- A Bachelors or equivalent degree in education, urban planning, geography, sociology, urban studies, landscape planning, psychology, neuroscience, learning environments, or a related field.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and familiarity with software like SPSS, R, or Python
- Familiarity with design principles and planning tools that are used in creating learning environments.
- Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning techniques is not necessary but will be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and communicate research findings to diverse audiences.
- Prior experience working with young children and families is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive literature reviews on topics related to neuroprotection, learning environments, and educational psychology.
- Collect and analyze data using relevant measures for young learners.
- Contribute to data management and analyses, including reporting and documentation.
- Disseminate research findings through academic publications, research presentations, and outreach activities.
- Liaise with research participants and other stakeholders.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigators
