Research Assistant (m-f-d)

The Martin-Luther-University of Halle-Wittenberg, Faculty of Natural Sciences II, Institute of Physics, offers a vacancy starting 01-12-2022 for a duration of 3 years for a Research Assistant (m-f-d). During the employment a doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) is envisaged.

The fixed-term employment contract is part time (50 %). Remuneration is set according to the German salary scale for university employees up to pay grade 13 TV-L depending on the assigned tasks and personal qualifications.

Tasks:
• Development of a CIGS solar cell as part of a tandem cell in the framework of a European research project
• Investigation and development of function and characteristics of thin film and tandem solar cells according to the project tasks
• Publication of research and development results

Requirements:
• Surpassing master in physics, material science or equivalent graduation
• Very good knowledge in semiconductor physics and photovoltaics
• Experiences in preparation, characterization and/or simulation of solar cells
