The “Entrepreneurship Research Lab: Research on Creativity, Communication and Community (ERLab)” project at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) conducts research on entrepreneurial ecosystems in a research-practice partnership with the Campus Founders gGmbH in Heilbronn.

The research assistant will contribute to research on regional entrepreneurial ecosystems and creativity and develop and complete an empirical PhD dissertation project. Doing so, the research assistant will contribute to the ERLab’s research activities and publications in scientific journals as well as presentation of results at international meetings and conferences within the central research field(s) of the ERLab. Furthermore, the research assistant will organize transfer- related events in Heilbronn, contribute to a knowledge database on entrepreneurship research, and engage in other scientific activities of the ERLab. They will mainly work at the university campus in Frankfurt (Oder), but spend longer periods of time in Heilbronn.

The ideal candidate is expected
– to have a MSc degree (or equivalent) in business, management, or related areas;
– to have pronounced interest in research in entrepreneurship and creativity;
– to have substantial and applied knowledge of qualitative research methods, such as case studies, that are typically applied in entrepreneurship, management, and organization research studies;
– to be familiar with entrepreneurial ecosystems in Germany and Eastern Europe;
– to have strong communicative skills and the ability to learn quickly;
– to be fluent in English.
