Job Summary

The Department of Global Health and Population is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to work with Dr. Stephane Verguet, Associate Professor of Global Health.  This research assistant will be responsible for a variety of research tasks that contribute to the advancement of the research portfolio of Professor Verguet’s team.  Duties and responsibilities for this position are as follows:

Position Description

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conduct priority setting research related to low- and middle-income countries
  • Develop computer models and analytical tools; lead on methodological developments
  • Conduct data analyses, summarize datasets and secondary data inputs from the published literature
  • Draft reports and research manuscripts for publications to academic journals
  • May oversee the activities of other research staff
  • May assist in assessment or judgment of data validity
  • Process, organize and summarize data
  • Report experiment results using a variety of scientific, word processing, spreadsheet or statistical software applications
  • Other duties as assigned

PLEASE NOTE: This position has a term appointment of December 31, 2023. It is a hybrid position and this position will be based in Boston, MA.  Additional detail pertaining to this position will be discussed during the interview process.  All remote work must be performed in a state in which Harvard is registered to do business (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, California (exempt staff only), Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, Virginia, and Washington).

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience is required; a combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience with R software is required
