Position Summary

We are recruiting a full time Research Assistant in cognitive neuroscience research. The Research Assistant will contribute to a team of scientists studying the brain mechanisms of visual cognition, and will gain experience to all stages of research, including the design, implementation, data collection and analysis, and presentation/report. The Research Assistant will gain skills in a variety of research techniques, such as behavioral, computational, neuroimaging, and eye tracking technology. The Research Assistant’s responsibilities will include: helping with the design and implement of experiments, performing data collection and data analysis, and helping with preparing materials for presentations and reports.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in the specific field of research employment or other related science fields; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in standard laboratory procedures and safety requirements and performing analytical and research techniques in an area related to research being performed; may require software specific to the area of research; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position may require special licensing or certification in the field related to the area of employment.

Desired Qualifications

Previous experience with human subject research is desired. Familiarity with computer programming is highly desired.
