Position Summary:

  • General maintenance of the laboratory, including purchasing reagents and equipment, PCard reconciliation

  • Lab duties:

    • Maintenance of the mouse colony.

    • Must be able to handle mice for in vivo experiments.

    • Must have experience with molecular biology experimentation, such as RNA, DNA and protein extraction, Western blotting, cloning, etc.

  • Proficient with all programs in the MS Office 365 Suite; knowledge of Adobe Illustrator would be an asset.

  • Assist the PI in manuscript and grant writing, including producing figures and reviewing/editing.

  • Train new students when they start working in the group.


  • The ideal candidate would have completed an MSc

  • Published at least one manuscript, preferably demonstrating a skill at performing experiments with mouse models.

Other Qualifying Skills & Abilities:

  • Prior experience performing experiments with mice.
