The Division of Hematology and Oncology is a top-tier department with nationally-renowned faculty and staff.
 

The Division of Hematology and Oncology is hiring a full time Research Assistant. This position will assist with the coordination of laboratory projects or studies in biomedical research, make independent contributions to the projects and studies based on professional training or functional experience.

Essential Functions

• Perform experiments and records data according to research protocols.
• Conduct and maintain cell and bacteria culture.
• Perform protein and RNA/DNA analysis using immunoblotting and PCR (including real-time PCR).
• Extract and measure protein, DNA, and/or RNA from bacteria and/or mammalian cells.
• Assist the PI and/or other senior investigator(s) in surgical procedures and post-surgery observation of experimental animals (mice).
• Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
