We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the School of Nursing to work on a clinical trial of psychological support for people with personality disorder. This is the first ever large scale study to examine the effects of a low-intensity intervention for people with these difficulties. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the data collection and analysis phase of the NIHR-funded Structured Psychological Support (SPS) trial.
This project will involve liaising with healthcare staff and collecting quantitative data from patient’s records and interviews with patients. There will also be opportunities for you to contribute to writing up study findings and submitting the results of these studies for publication.
The successful candidate will have a good honours degree, or equivalent, in a relevant area and will be numerate and IT literate.
The successful applicant will have experience of undertaking qualitative and/or quantitative research studies, experience of working in healthcare settings and experience in data handling, including interpretation and use of analysis software packages.
Ability to to work on own initiative and as part of a team are essential for the role, as well as excellent oral and written presentation and communication skills.
