We are recruiting a Research Assistant to contribute to the academic work of an ESRC grant held by the International Diagnostics Centre at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
The post holder will assist the ESRC-funded interdisciplinary research group (International Diagnostic Centre and International Centre for Evidence in Disability at LSHTM) to implement the proposed study among older people in the UK. The post holder will be expected to help the team with qualitative data analysis, interpretation, draft reports, and coordinate a national open call and a policy workshop.
The successful candidate will have a master’s degree in public health, sociology, and/or data science is preferable, proven ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a research team, evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, relevant computer/analytical skills for qualitative and/or quantitative data. This post is full-time and is funded by the ESRC until 31 July 2024. The post is available from 1 December 2022. The salary will be on the Academic Pathway scale, Grade 5 in the range £36,438 – £41,829 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
