| Job Summary | The Healthier Futures Lab (HealthFuL), a research lab under the Department of Family and Community Medicine located at the Turfland Clinic in Lexington, KY, integrates cutting-edge behavioral science and behavioral economic concepts to better understanding how individuals can make better decisions for a healthier future. Led by Dr. Mikhail Koffarnus, HealthFuL is seeking a new research assistant to work primarily on a NIH-funded research project examining a remotely delivered experimental treatment for alcohol abuse as well as exploring decision-making processes relevant to substance use such as alcohol and nicotine. Our research assistant will support the HealthFuL team in the performance of various recruitment, technical, and data collection activities to achieve required study milestones and progress. These roles will serve as part of the research team working collaboratively and independently to collect and organize human subject data for grant-funded research projects. Laboratory and research support responsibilities range from entry- to advanced-level. | Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Ability to work on projects simultaneously; teamwork skills; professional, conscientious, strong oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and dependable. Experience or willingness to navigate systems such as Microsoft Office Suite, Qualtrics, RedCap, etc. History of working in research a plus. Must have a valid drivers license for recruitment and off-site enrollment. |

| Preferred Education/Experience | BA/BS in psychology, biology, neuroscience, or related field, and/or the equivalent level of training and experience preferred. |
