Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a part-time Research Administrator to assist the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) with award intake and management.  This is a great opportunity for someone who recently retired from research administration and is looking to work part-time remote.

Summary of Responsibilities include:

  • Works closely with the Assistant Vice President for Research and Director of Sponsored Programs in the Division of Research.
  • Responsible for facilitating and coordinating the post-award functions within the Office of Sponsored Programs
  • Performs related duties as required or deemed appropriate to the accomplishment of the responsibilities and functions of his/her area.
  • Responsible for monitoring the intake of awards, entering award information into various systems, and providing direct support to the award administrators within OSP.
  • Oversee the process flow to ensure awards are reviewed and processed in a timely manner.
  • Process completed post-award worksheets by entering award information into various electronic systems for reporting
  • Reconcile award files processed by the Research Accounting Office
  • Update and maintain logs and database
  • Assist award administrators with various post-award activities, as necessary
  • Special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years experience in Research/Grant Administration; or an Associate’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years experience in Research/Grant Administration required.
Prior experience in research administration or grant administration is a requirement.
Excellent Customer-Service skills
Excellent communication skills- both written and verbal
Strong organizational skills with attention to details
Strong data entry and data analysis skills
Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Salary:

$25.00-$30.00 per hour
