Overview
The School of Nursing & Midwifery is comprised of a School Based Research Centre, the Centre for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Services Research (CNMHSR), and a Strategic Research Centre, the Centre for Research in Aged Care (CRAC). Our Research Centres support activity within strategic themes. Our strong research environment generates world-class research with lasting community impact.
The CNMHSR is led by the Associate Dean, Professor Lisa Whitehead. Research is undertaken across three key areas:
- Safety and Quality in Healthcare
- Improving Outcomes for Adults with Chronic Health Conditions
- Childbearing, Children and Young People
The CRAC is led by Professor Davina Porock. Its unique strength is to facilitate and translate inter-disciplinary and co-designed research and innovation for ‘living, dying and caring well’ for older adults in need of care and support. The Centre brings together researchers from Australia and internationally who whare a passion for improving the experience of older people receiving care and the systems that support aged and end-of-life care access and provision.
This position is responsible for supporting the Directors of the CNMHSR and the CRAC in the conduct of research, guided by instructions and procedures for more complex tasks. The primary duties of the role with include:
- Provide administrative support, including compiling/ coordinating reports, publications and developing/maintaining accurate records.
- Maximise the communication of research through social media.

Benefits & Remuneration
This part time, fixed term position attracts remuneration of $69,152-$73,652 pa (30% pro-rata) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
