The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center established the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine. The McGowan Institute serves as a single base of operations for the university’s leading scientists and clinical faculty working in the areas of tissue engineering, cellular therapies, and artificial and bio-hybrid organ devices.
The McGowan Institute is seeking a Research Administrative Coordinator.
The Research Administrative Coordinator will assist the Principal Investigator at the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine. The incumbent should be highly motivated, detail oriented, and able to prioritize multiple, large, and complex projects. The incumbent must have experience in project-specific database management. The incumbent will prepare budgets and monitor/manage active grants and contract funding.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong organizational skills are required. Experience working with PC’s and standard software applications (e.g, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, EndNote) is necessary. Experience within the University system is required (3-5 years).
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or 2 years substitution of equivalent relevant experience.
