Position description

The Swedish free-market think tank EPHI (Environment and Public Health Institute) is looking for a dynamic and well-connected Brussels Representative to lead our presence in the heart of European policymaking.

About the Role

EPHI focuses on public health, sustainability, and innovation – with a digital-first approach. As we expand our operations to Brussels, we are looking for someone who can represent us on the ground, monitor relevant policy developments, and help us build visibility and influence among EU stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent EPHI in Brussels and actively build relationships within EU institutions, think tanks, and relevant stakeholders;
• Monitor political developments in public health, sustainability, and innovation policy;
• Communicate our positions clearly in meetings, events, and media;
• Coordinate interviews, content creation, and possibly act as a spokesperson in digital/video media;
• Collaborate with the EPHI team in Stockholm and contribute to reports, briefings, and campaigns;
• Occasionally travel within Europe for events or media production.

 

Qualifications

We’re Looking for Someone Who

• Has solid experience in politics, ideally having worked with or for a Member of the European Parliament;
• Possesses a strong professional network in Brussels;
• Is fluent in English (spoken and written);
• Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Is proactive, independent, and comfortable managing projects;
• Has experience with social media and/or digital content and media creation;
• Has writing experience (op-eds, reports, or similar);
• Is currently based in Brussels.
